You can count on every workout at BTBC to provide you with an adventurous fitness experience that is as safe and effective as it is diverse and exciting.

Is it like “real” boot camp, military style?

This is a fitness boot camp that offers a motivating and inspiring workout experience without the fear of humiliation or intimidation. You will be challenged and encouraged to be the best you can be on any given day. You will receive a highly energetic and effective workout that includes specific instructions and demonstrations on how to perform the exercise drill correctly. In addition, if a workout drill or specific exercise is too easy or too hard for you, options and modifications will be suggested so that you can get the most effective results for your fitness level.

How long are the boot camps?

While BTBC’s signature camp is 4-weeks long, “Special Event” camps are held through out the year that may be shorter or longer. Campers have the option of enrolling for 2, 3 or more days per week within the selected program. Each individual class is 1-hour in length with an encouraged early warm-up that begins 15 minutes before the official start time of class.

When and where do we meet up for boot camp?

The signature 4-week camp meets on Monday-Wednesday-Friday. The 5:30 a.m. class meets on the basketball courts at Freedom Park located at 77400 Country Club Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92211. The 8:30 a.m. class meets on the basketball courts at Palm Desert Civic Center Park located at 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, CA 92260. Early warm-up begins for both classes and locations 15 minutes before the official start time of class. Please refer to the session calendar for Special Event camp information.

How much does it cost?

Do I have to already be fit to join your camp?

NO! Our goal is to ignite your passion for fitness and to bring out the athlete in you that has been hiding for years! Our camps accept all fitness levels and we show modifications and options when needed.

How do I get started and where and when do I sign-up?

Simply click on the BTBC Session Calendar located in the right side bar of this page, or return to the Home Page and click on the big REGISTER FOR BOOT CAMP to access our session calendar and then choose the session you’d like to register for and follow the instructed prompts. Due to the popularity of our fitness boot camp, sessions often fill up quickly and close out early. We suggest that you don’t delay and register today! REGISTER NOW!

What do I need to bring to camp?

You will need an exercise or yoga mat, a pair of 5-8 lb. hand-weights, a bottle of water and a positive attitude! We do suggest a thicker exercise mat if you require more padding when hitting the court for ground work.

What should I wear to camp?

Dress in comfortable workout attire such as shorts, tights, leggings or sweat pants along with a t-shirt, tank top or sweatshirt. Please invest in a quality pair of supportive athletic shoes that are either cross-trainers or running shoes. During the winter months, dress accordingly in layers and carry a pair of gloves and a hat or winter headband in your boot camp-bag.

What should I NOT wear to camp?

Please do not wear perfume, cologne, or scented body sprays to boot camp. Do not wear Keds or other low-profile tennis or fashion shoes, as they do not offer the needed support for the activity presented in boot camp.

What kind of results can I expect?

Results vary and depend largely on individual initiative. If you remain committed to the workout schedule and adhere to our nutritional suggestions and weekly assignments you should have no trouble accomplishing your mission of sculpting muscle, burning fat, losing inches, losing pounds and getting in the best shape of your life!

What is the timeline for actually seeing results?

Success begins immediately, just by showing up for the first day of camp. Lifestyle and behavioral results are just as important as losing body fat and inches, so, just by showing up for class, you are seeing results in those areas. If you remain committed to your mission and attend all scheduled days of camp and follow our nutritional suggestions, you will see noticeable improvement in your overall level of conditioning and self-confidence within the first two weeks of camp. It is very common for our participants to see a 10-12 pound weight loss with a 2-5% reduction in body fat and anywhere from 1-5 inches in total circumference inch loss with an overall increase in muscular strength and endurance upon completion of our 4-week camp.

Is it co-ed?

Yes!

Is there an age requirement?

We do require that all participants that register for our program be at least 18 years of age or older. We do accept children beginning at the age of 15 with the proper parental waiver and consent form as well as written clearance from their physician.

Where do I go after I finish my first camp session?

Why into the next session of course! Getting and staying in top physical condition is a lifestyle commitment so our sessions run consecutively to keep our troop in shape.

What happens if it rains?

You’ll get wet.
